Let’s review some basic genetic biology. I am but an old surgeon. Most of the genetic knowledge was brought out after I graduated from medical school, so excuse me if I am behind and I am sure some smart PhD types can and might correct me in comments. While I intend a longer post, my favorite Midwestern Doctor has put out a superb piece on spike protein. More later from him.
Let’s see- we all know about the human genome project and how our DNA residing in the nucleus makes copies of messenger RNA (m-RNA) that gets out of the nucleus and usually over to the mitochondria - those cool little protein factories in our cells. The m-RNA takes the DNA coding for a “protein” or a peptide and sends the message into the mitochondria where the code is read and amino acids get assembled into peptides, get assembled into proteins, Then those get folded and held in place with electrostatic charges to form a three dimensional structure, which then attaches to other proteins and cellular structures start to form. Like nuclear membranes, cell membranes etc. It is complex. It leaves a trace of the genetic sequence and in fact we all watch TV crime shows and DNA analysis frequently is the key (no pun intended) to send a murderer to jail. The other interesting thing is that maybe 40% of our DNA is “junk DNA” meaning that somewhere in the far distant evolutionary past one of our really old ancestors must have gotten bad viral cold or disease and the way viruses work is they attach to the DNA coding (to make more little “baby” viruses in the cells. Eventually the immune system figures this out and rousts out its defenses as B or T cells for example (“bursal” or “thymic” cells)..T cells for example come from the thymus, which as a heart surgeon I have divided thousands of times to get to the heart during a median sternotomy.. Those cells attack the invaders, cause inflammation which cleans things up. Sometimes a trace of the coding gets left on the DNA but it is functionless because these clean up cells have a memory. If the bad boy protein raises his head, they smack him down again. That is an extremely simple explanation for Original antigenic sin… and that is how most of us older folks got our immunities… we HAD the measles, the German measles, the mumps, the chicken pox.. the list goes on.. we don’t get sick again from them. We have immunity. Oh wait for older people as their immunity wanes and that thymes starts to shrivel up.. that chickenpox virus can come back as shingles! Ouch. So there is a place for vaccine. I am NOT an anti-vaxxer.
So when I heard about a first time ever m-RNA vaccine I immediately had red flags go up. Wait a minute.. you want to go in and re-write the DNA genetic codes to do something. like what??? Well initially I heard “scientists” suggest the spike protein was good because it penetrate cell membranes easily and could generate more spike protein and that was good cause it would kill the virus… THEY WERE WRONG. Actually the virus makes the spike protein. The “vaccine” (it is not a vaccine but a genetic modification agent).. even made more of the spike protein. It is bad stuff. It damages vessel wall cells and promotes clotting. It damages neural cells and causes neurological injury and worst of all, it damages alveolar (air sac) damage in the lungs and causes those air sacs to fill with fluid and eventually the ability to transport oxygen into the blood is impaired. Add positive pressure ventilation to that and it just speeds it up. Yes, some 80% of COVID patients in ICU setting on high positive pressure ventilation - died.. Friends of mine - died.
The Midwestern doctor explains it well..
"chickenpox virus can come back as shingles! Ouch. So there is a place for vaccine."
Beg to differ, Sir.
If children were getting chicken pox and adults were exposed to the virus, they are naturally boosted and shingles is avoided. The chicken pox vaccine stopped the adult exposure and created the shingles epidemic.
