I overheard one doc at a major, major medical and teaching institution declare his appreciation for one of those stats guys in 1979: Tell him the results you want and he’ll find them.

In 2010, It reached its all time height with the Purge of the NIH & CDC of anyone who “would NOT play ball” during the Barry O administration.
Since that time medical journals and govt funded research has been 90% positive for pharmaceutical companies and Government data.
