Nothing really changes. Really.
I grew up 17 miles north of Texas Mexico border. And yes in high school (Edinburg bobcats!). Yes we would drive our cars “en el otro lado” and enjoyed the relative safety if restaraunts and clubs in Reynosa. Lots of Valley kids in there, and some of the bands were ourTexan buddies- “playboys of Edinburg “ were the best. We always had a designated driver on the way home! Usually my buddy Bill Morris…. Sometimes me..etc
But back to voting irregularities- my family was democrat- Daddy even ran for school board once (not a party vote)… he was beat by twenty votes, shrugged it off.. just Valley politics!
My good friend from high school, was Mayor of Edinburg and did some wonderful things for our home town… and got beat by (another democrat) who messed with the voting.
Initially I thought it was just South Texas and just the Democrats but really I must be naive cause it has been going on a long time in USA. The hanging chads got us away to computer voting- what could go wrong there. ???
We have “known “ for a long time our deployed military servicemen voted by absentee ballot cause they were deployed to Turdustan or some other awful place… no way our politicians sons were there… and back home we heard that the military votes weren’t counted and got thrown in trash.
So really things haven’t changed. Until republicans grow a set and get smarter than the dem trolls in the basement eating cheetoes and hacking voting machine servers miles (or countries) away we won’t have “fair” elections.
Read thus awesome piece - if it doesn’t click immediately, highlight, copy and paste it into a browser. Superb as usual!
