My further comments about the Uvalde police huddling in a scared circle outside of the school while an insane teenager was taking lives… What if.. an all out assault and one cop died, and five kids were saved? It took a courageous off duty Border Patrolman, jumping out of the barber’s chair, grabbing the barber’s shotgun and charging into school to rid us of the insanity.
Came across this great piece about our insane attachment to “safety first” - I am not throwing safety to the wind, but in everything we do there is some risk. Let us not be paralyzed by “safety first” or we will never get anything done.
