Dang right - a good time to talk politics!

So many families supposedly are divided, and stories abound about “we cannot talk politics at family gatherings!” - Let me suggest the “broken” part of that started way before kids were old enough to know a Democrat donkey from a turtle. Civility and simple courtesy should allow anything to be spoken about at the BarBQue table… Sure there will be a “crazy old uncle” or an in charge Dad, but that all started a long time ago. But -at the same time. Kids do grow up and form adult opinions - and if parents allow children to attend schools with or gather with rebellious hellions - then what do you expect? Point is. Americans need to come out from behind a rock and talk about our country. Preachers need to get out from behind their “tax-exempt” pulpit and stand up for righteousness as outlined in the Bible. Even Jesus welcomed the tax-collectors to his supper table. Business leaders who want to go with the DEI flow and Go Woke - hey knock yourself out and remember - “Go Woke, Go Broke” Make social decisions that are bad decisions and you will regret it, in spades, with plummeting stock values and income. Think Bud Lite. You will answer to your investors and your customers. (I like Shiner Bock)

The military has been a fabulous place to learn leadership, friendship, meeting dynamics, one on one dynamics with no regard to skin color or race or sex. With 11 years of active duty and 30 years total reserve time.. I felt every moment was worth the learning experience for me and all those I served with and under.

One of the leaders I never served under but always respected was.. Army Lt. General Covault . I always enjoy his commentary. He ended his most recent published one with this comment..

For those of you readers who only “bitch and moan” as we use to say in the military…get off your butt and do something. If you aren’t running for an office, maybe you know someone who is. If so, get this information to them. The Republican politics I have seen since the 1980s have been “Let’s all just go along to get along and not embarrass ourselves”.. Democrats stick together 100% of the time. Republicans always have enough weak sisters who easily walk across the aisle and go along to get along. Time for that to end. I plan to work AGAINST my state representative because of some votes he made that did not show leadership, but only served pure RiNO attention to his monied supporters….
