Here's a dissenting view by Prof. Rob Natelson. The main contention as I understand it is that an Article V Convention is NOT a Constitutional Convention. It is an interstate convention of States who, under their sovereignty and through appointed or elected committees by their legislatures, propose and adopt constitutional amendments in specific subject areas agreed upon by the committee(s) under agreed upon procedures, to be ratified or not by 38 of the states through the existing constitutional process. And here's the kicker, all of it is done within the bounds of the U.S. Constitution.
